Setting up BYOK is easy: (1) Get an API key from OpenAI (platform.openai.com) or Google AI Studio (ai.google.dev), (2) Go to your Settings page in our app, (3) Navigate to "LLM Configuration", (4) Enter your API key and select which features to enable (chat is required, image generation is optional), (5) Click "Validate Key" to test it, then "Save". That's it! You can switch back to our platform keys anytime.
No problem! When configuring BYOK, you can choose which capabilities to enable. If you only enable "Chat & Text Generation" and leave "Image Generation" disabled, the platform will use your key for text-based AI features and automatically fall back to our system keys for image generation. This gives you flexibility to use BYOK for what works best for you.
Yes! You can enable or disable BYOK at any time from your Settings page. When you remove your custom API key, the platform will seamlessly switch back to using our shared keys, and your subscription price will return to the standard rate at the next billing cycle.
